Escape problems with IPAC
« on: June 05, 2002, 02:29:37 pm »
I'd say 95% of games can be escaped  ( using Player 1 + Player 2 default in IPAC) back into my frontend (emuwizard), but approx 5% (perhaps less than 5%), require me to use the escape key on my keyboard.  Any ideas why this might be happening?

I am running mame 60 in windows.

any help would be appreciated

My guess would be that they aren't running fast enough and don't see the ESC key before it disappears.  I would suggest trying it some more and which games specifically?  Since the I-PAC functions just like a keyboard there should be no problem with it sending keys.

One example would be World Class Bowling.  Player 1 + Player 2 will not escape from the game at all.  Hitting esc key on the keyboard works every time.

I'm running a T-bird 950 w/ 192megs ram.

Weird.

I have no idea.  I tried that game and was able to exit just fine using the I-PAC.
