Update on my cab ...
« on: May 25, 2004, 05:10:40 am »
Blimey, I think the last time I posted was the first lot of piccies I posted, I have been so flat out on the cab, I have rarely had time to log on.

I promisced some mates I would have it operational by FA Cup night (just gone, last saturday), and so I did. Although I was still working on it at about 1pm saturday !

A good night was had by all, gaming till about 11 pm, then watched the warm up and then the match at midnight. Pity Man Utd won, but anyway.

Here are some piccies showing the final construction on the day, in the lead up to the night ahead.
As you can see there is a long way to go yet (more undercoat, topcoat, WG D9200, monitor bezel, marquee, proper speakers etc, etc etc), but what was finished to this point went down extremely well.

Cheers

This is how my wife found my youngest one night ! The dining room was the integration lab for about two weeks (we need a bigger house).

Starting to look good .... well atleast playable !

The cover on the CP is a quick temp job, just to provide some protection. 5 Peices of coloured cardboard, cut up, and laminated. Did the job on the night.

Good work, it's nice to get a machine up and running isn't it!  Just don't play on it for too long...

I second the Man U winning thing btw :(

Cheers minwah !

Yeah you are right. The sense of achievement when I got it to this stage, and had my first game was pretty amazing. How did I ever live without it.

Of course my wife is now spending most of her time pondering where it is going to go, but anyway.

Cheers
