Pictures of my final project (Phi Sig MAME)
« on: May 18, 2004, 03:06:18 pm »
I should have posted these pictures forever ago. This is my finished machine (which I just sold).

This project has been finished for well over 6 months, but I never documented it well so I never ended up putting up a site or finished pictures.

I guess you can call it Phi Sig MAME (since it's lives at my frazternity house, Phi Sigma Kappa).

I'm moving to the Dallas area this week and I didn't want to take this thing with me so I plan to build an even better one when I get there, but I think this thing is a damn good first attempt. What do yall think? I could use the comments and suggestions for my next machine.

*Disclaimer* The picture was taken from a camera phone so it's pretty crappy but I can get another if yall wanna see it.

*Disclaimer* Ignore the poster board marquee...

Weird, i was just looking up Cheech Marin on IMDB and it says he is a brother of Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity.  ;D

I used a Bad Dudes cabinet. It had been converted to a gutted Batman when I got it, but I recognized the Data East logo and the ambidextrous control panel layout when I scraped up the Batman overlay.

I had originally bought the cabinet to use as an MP3 jukebox cuz I liked the curves, but I ran out of money for an arcade machine AND a jukebox so I just built the arcade machine out of it.

By the way, I saw your machine way back when, and it's totally awesome... so for you to compliment mine means alot to me.  :) It made me decide that for my next machine I will spend equal amounts of time on the machine AND the artwork.

Yes, Cheech is one of our more famous alumni.  ;D
