measurements for this style cab?
« on: May 13, 2004, 07:57:31 am »
hi folks, long time lurker here... been looking through forums and pics and talk throughs of cabs for years now, finally gonna get round to making one this summer i think

anyway, i've seen the shape of cabinet we (me and my gf of 7 years) both like... but i waas wondering if anyone knew the measurements of it, or of any websites that maybe had some kind of plans or details of it. Even the name of the original game might help and i could look up the stuff myself.

The guy who did this cab did a great job on it, so i hope he doesnt mind me posting this pic, but it's the only way i could make a point of reference for people to see.

thanks for your help (if i get any, lol)

Darren

There is a website that jakobud maintains that has many different styles of arcade cabinets with their measurements.

I'm not sure if it has the exact one you are looking for but I'm sure you will find one that you like.

Check it out if you have not already.

Hope this helps.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but that looks an awful lot like a Taito cabinet.  What's the game in it?  It looks like it's had some laminate applied to the side, so it's probably been converted at least once.  Are there any markings or instructions stapled to the inside that might give a clue as to its original identity?

Thanks for that link Jerry, I'll check it out.

Coleman, you're right, i've since done some looking on Klov (or whatever it's called) and it is a Taito cab. It's just happens to be the shape that both me (and more importantly my partner, lol) likes.
