Guys, I think your date isn't going to work if you are planning a trip to Funspot.
I compete in the Funspot tournament every year. I have attended every classic tournament they have held. Assuming they keep the same rules this year as they have in the past, you will not be allowed in the classic arcade on the third floor. They rope off the two entrances and keep employees there to stop people. If you haven't paid the $35 competition fee, and are not wearing a tournament badge, they will not let you in.
That doesn't mean that there won't be things for you to do. The first floor, with the 8-player Daytona USA, Police 911, etc. will be open. The second floor with stuff like dual Hydro Thunder, Star Wars Trilogy, etc. will be open. However, you will not be able to enter the 3rd floor classic arcade at all, and that is where 90% of the good stuff is located.
If you are dead set on getting in there on the 5th, you may want to call up there and speak with Gary or Ken to see if arrangements can be made. I would think, however, that the answer will be no.
There are also three other arcades down on the pier of the lake. However, they aren't near as good as Funspot.
