After finishing my cocktail table a couple weeks ago i've been addicted to robotron.  I've looked up some high scores on the internet that are just obsurd.

Just wondering what some of the byoac members high scores were for this game.  

Right now the high score is at 146,000 for me.  I'm sure that sucks compared to some on this board.

I love Robotron!  My high scores are clustered near 300,000 but most of the time I end up less than 175,000.   It's tough.  Heck, I can have a 200,000 point game followed by 60,000.  It is an awesome game that can be played in just a couple minutes.

Usually I score at about 150K, got a buddy that regularly scores about 200k
Definitely a great quick game, and its very possible to get wildly different scores over a few games

I think my current high is around 195k. I love Robotron, and have since the first time I played it back when it was new. If I could only have two or three games this would make the list.

I have an original Robotron cab and have been playing it for years.  With the difficulty setting of 10 (max) and everything else as default (except for free play) I can get up to 800K.  Anything less than 10 and I get over 1M easy.  Please note, these score are not "consistant", I could get a high score one minute, and my --I'm attempting to get by the auto-censor and should be beaten after I re-read the rules-- handed to me on a platter the very next game....this is why its so much fun to play!

With the setting on max, 295K is all I can muster.  Play it just about every day though...someday 300K will be mine!

J-sticks are great.  Switch to 4-way, gorge on Mr. Do and Pengo.  Switch to 8-way, get blasted on Robotron.  Back and forth, back and forth...

How do you change the difficulty setting for this game?  I can't find it anywhere
