Well, for those who haven't had a chance to interact with our good buddy blueoakleyz, then give this thread a read.

You posted this in the "Everything Else" just to sucker me into reading it and starting to lay into that kid??!?!? :o

Thanks, I needed it!  ;) ;D

Just buy the book.
dude, I've only got $2000, I can't be troubled to spend $20 to REALLY support saint, when I can just come here and sponge/pester/ingratiate myself onto all you kind souls, unless you don't answer exactly how I like, in which case, you are all jerks.  I won't take my big red ball and go home, because my friend thinks I can do this, and I wanna appear $00p3R C00! with all that I truly don't know.

He should tell his buddy a cab will cost $2020, but that'd blow his cover.

I didn't know you could fit Blue Oakleys on under the ear flaps on a football helmet  ;)

Ya know, the guy actually HAS been of some use.

I used to wonder if I was raising my kids to become productive members of society, able to function on their own without help or interference from me, and possess the ability to reason.

They're 14, 15, and 16, and they're leaps and bounds beyond spongeblue's abilities!

'ray for Big Daddy Drew!

I do wonder how old that guy is, because I'm 17 and even I think he acts juvinile...I bought and read the entire book before askin anythin here. Helped like none other :)

Edit: I just looked at his profile and saw his sig....'I'm here to find out information I need HERE, not in a book I'm not going to buy.'

that knucklehead claims to be 22.  It's a wonder he hasn't stepped out in front of a bus or something, since no one was around to tell him "exactly what to do when crossing the street....explain it like you're talking to a retard"

To think, if he's actually 22, it may be possible that he DRIVES!

Worse yet, HE CAN VOTE!  :o :o :o :o :o

This guy is a tool and a half.... I think we should try to get the entire forum as a whole to ignore him if he keeps asking these types of questions.

If only he'd consider what we've told him.... I don't care about helping him, I would if he showed any interest in taking our advice or just helping himself a bit....

I said it before and I'll say it again:  I miss 3eyedblindman

I'm with pointdablame.  I think no matter what questions he has he should be ignored, period.  Of course, I couldn't help acknowledging Paige's shot at him.

Okay, I broke.  I couldn't help replying to him after a comment directed at me.  But for sure now, no more replies. ;)

Ok, no one respond to him at all. By all means continue this thread, but even if he posts here just ignore it.

Ya know the funny part?

Since I (and I'm sure MANY others of us here) don't believe that he truly has ever seen the "search" button here, and he obviously can't interpret the words in posts enough to be bothered to just peruse the millions of helpful posts here, he'll probably never see this thread!

It's one thing to help someone out, it's another to have them beg to be spoon-fed over and over, but then tell you your advice isn't needed (re:  the book) and then resort to name-calling the people who've offered you the most help!  :o

I downloaded archives, and started from the back page of each forum I was interested in, reading posts I though had an interesting title or held something I might want to know about....in 6 different forums!  It's so unbelievably galling that I wasn't even building a cab at the time, and this guy, who's building one, feels his time is too precious to even go as deep as page 39 in a thread!

I wasn't even planning on using an arcade monitor, and I am now due to Paige's "Walkthrough For Dummies[supTM[/sup]" for this tool, and he still can't grasp what Paige sez half the time!

Pointdablame, you're right....I miss 3eye.  Shoot, this guy even makes Flinkly's first few posts seem civil, and even Flinkly was able to realize he was coming off as a jerk and to change his 'tude!

I think we should all chip in and get spongeblue Dale Carnegie's "How To Win Friends" book....although he may inundate us with more questions about that, he can't complain that he has to "buy the book"!

I was tempted to respond to him in Oldskools post on  "The end is near.....glass or plexi?" but restrained myself...

Check out his question...

"I've yet to read the whole thread but
what thickness glass/lexan (plexiglass) should one use?"

I mean COME ON man, read the thread. It was clearly stated...

Some people just like to post to get attention. I think this was the case here...
Vids:  Home built MAME machine, Crystal Castles. Arkanoid
Pins:   Williams Aztec (working). Stern Nugent (not working...yet), Williams Phoenix (major not working, missing parts.... )

Always on the lookout for buying 90's game with Ramps that need work...

Sorry, I had a brief moment and weakness and was compelled to reply.

I've mentioned this to pointdablame and still wonder if it would be a good detourant.

I lived in a township in MI when I was much younger and when you did something really stupid or illegal it was in put in a local paper. This was basically to shame a person. What I was thinking is somewhat along the same lines. Perhaps give this insignificant little fleeb an award.

Something like a MAIMY - Most likely to MAIM oneself while building a cab. It's clear this kid belongs no where near power equipment or in his case "kin-folk" capable of breeding.

just my random mumblings...

I like watching Drew go off on this kid. ;D

But yeah, LeedsFan is right and BluBlocker's jerk comments were aimed at me.  Funny he hasn't responded to me since.  Oh well.
