Light gun help
« on: April 24, 2004, 05:22:14 pm »
I would like to use a light gun with my mame project. I am running a radeon aiw 8500 card with a component adapter to a SDTV. The Tv has component inputs and composite inputs. The Actlabs light gun works via s-video so I assume it will not work in my system. Does anyone have an ideal of what may work? What are my options?

S-Video and component are your only two options AFAIK.

I was unaware that the light gun worked on a component input. Are you sure you dont mean Composite(the yellow RCA jack)?

Their product page here, says that the TV out video card must have S-Video out, but the you can use S-Video or Composite (not Component) inputs to the TV.
