about the mouse pcb pic above...
how do i know which mouse has half pcb?
also: would anybody of you know if any WD Caviar series HD (4.3 GB)
to be exect: model number 43AA and/or 14300
would have needed holes on bottom?
sharkus:
For those who cannot find hard drive that has a hole in the bottom of the bearing here's an easy solution.
* Build the spinner as instructed in this thread or http://www.doughansen.net/arcade/spinner.htm
* Glue a couple large washers to the bottom of the fly wheel
* Use masking tape (or other tape) and continuously wrap the axle of light chopper until the tape is built up to be just slightly larger than the washer holes. Make sure the tape is not too wide or it may interfear with the sensor board.
* Insert the axle with tape into the washer hole.
I was able to use an old microsoft PS/2 mouse. However, I had to mount it to the wrong mouse axis (cursor moves up and down when the wheel spins, not left and right). Is there a version of Mame that can be used to switch the axis (and support multiple mice)?
