Here is a write up of how to build one of this.

Here are the tools used:
A. Torx #8
B. Torx #6
C. 6/32 Threader (use to made thread under the spinner).
D. 3/16 wrench
E. Phillip Screwdriver
F. Flathead Screwdriver
G. Long Nose Plier
H. Dremel

this are the parts needed
A. Mouse (PS2 or Serial) I think USB are all optical.
B. "L" Bracket (dollar store)
C. This nuts are from the Video Card, Sound card, etc..
D. This nut came the Computer Case you bought before.
E. This Shrink Wrap.
Misc Items not listed:
1. Epoxy
2. Blow Dryer (for the shrink wrapper)

Now you need to get one of this Western Digital Hard Drives. And open it up using the TORX #8 and #6. So you should have this.

C. This nuts are from the Video Card, Sound card, etc..
Now time to cut this a little shorter to make the a shaft.
Using the Dremel (carefull with this) and cut off about 1/2 of the thread.
