Thinkpad for sale
« on: March 15, 2004, 11:44:06 pm »
I just replaced my old trusty thinkpad with a nearly new one, so my old one is for sale.

It is a 100 mhz, I can't recall the amount of ram, I think it is either 32 or 40 though, more than enough for windows 95 (which is what it has). It has sound, a modem, a network card.

IT has windows 95, internet explorer, and some emulation and game software installed. It is still a decent internet and word processing computer, and has been the single most reliable computer I have ever owned. I can't remember this thing EVER locking up on me.

It will come with a bag, the network and modem cards mentioned above, a serial gamepad I got for it that I never actually got around to actually installing, and a power cord. No battery.

Make an offer including shipping.

Oh, minor detail, screen has three dead pixels, they have been dead for nearly 6 years, and no others have died in that time.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

Did you think about hacking it into the front-end for a jukebox?  Could be a nice small wall-mount.  Use the NIC to serve up the songs from a machine with a bigger harddrive?  Nice thin screen.  Might have to do a little surgery on the pivot to get the screen to fold all the way back (like a tablet PC) for mounting.
Just a thought. (If I could convince the Mrs, I would be making an offer just so I could do this).
