other than gameongraphix/mamemarquees where else can I order a control panel overlay that is tough enough to cover the trackball hole(see  picture)?

  • GRRRR!
I do not undestand the question .
are you wanting to remove the track ball? and cover the hole?
I see nothing wrong with the CP.

That 7th hole, on one side you put a spinner and on the other side you put the button that changes the joysticks from 4 way to 8 way mode. You leave the trackball because Teknoparrot now supports Golden Tee 2016 and it is amazing.

or

I used 1/4" plywood to transform a metal control panel, not sure I would really recommend it, but it certainly solved the problem.

Another option to consider is a 3d printed cover for the trackball hole.
- It should be pretty easy to use the trackball mount hardware to hold the cover under the panel.
- The cover should have a raised circular part to fill the trackball hole flush with the top of the panel.

With a cover like that, a regular CPO should be fine.

I can design a parametric cover like that for you in OpenSCAD if you provide the necessary measurements.

I was thinking a wood panel underneeth covered by  1/16" lexan on top can work.
