Ultimate IPAC 4 Firmware Upgrade?
« on: December 11, 2024, 11:12:25 pm »
Hi everyone!

I'm dipping my feet in the arcade conversion game by upgrading a previously converted TMNT cabinet, which has its four sticks wired up to what I believe is a 2014 IPAC 4 on firmware 1.30.

I've read that being a pre-2015 board, it's not compatible with the MultiMode firmware, but I just wanted to confirm that, as well as inquire if there's any other worthwhile firmware upgrades to do if that's indeed the case.

See the attached photos, and thanks in advance!

Yes, that is a pre-2015 IPac.

Correct.  Your current IPac isn't compatible with the MultiMode firmware.

A new IPac4 will ship with the latest firmware (v1.55?) already installed so no further updates are needed.
