Leland Spring Lever Wiring - Revisited
« on: March 03, 2024, 10:04:36 am »
I know this is a topic that gets repeated every few years but everyone’s solution required hacking an old MS sidewinders dual-strike such as this post:  http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,5706.msg38671.html#msg38671

It is the most thorough write-up and I’ll go this route if necessary, but I was curious if a more modern solution has been done by someone using Ultimarc’s U-HID interface? If not would anyone else think that it could work with some trial/error wiring?

It's a spring-loaded analog joystick.

You can use any analog encoder like the U-HID, U-HID Nano, A-Pac, or an Arduino. (32u4 or newer since older 32u2's don't have analog inputs)

The Arduino option involves loading an analog gamepad firmware like KADE miniArcade 2.0.

Thank you Scott, I appreciate the quick confirmation.  I will try the U-HID Nano.
