[SOLVED] GUN4AIR issue keypress continuously
« on: July 04, 2024, 04:22:24 pm »
Hello!!!

Recently i made my second gun from GUN4AIR, but when i plug it the gun start to send random key input.

I made few test to understand if the problem is the gun, setup, driver or other.

These are the test i made and their result:

- plug 2 GUN in different USB slot, also "far" from each others

Fail, continue the random input

- unistall drivers

Fail, continue the random input

- reflash bios of the gun

Fail, continue the random input

- try the GUN2 on anothr pc (windows 8)

Working without any mess

So i'm pretty sure the problem is around my Arcade setup where is installed Windows 7.

The unusual part is that the GUN1 is working perfectly, without any trouble.

Im out of idea and test to made, so i hope to get some useful tips from this amazin forum.

Ok found the issue but still idk how to solve it

If i unplug the AC cable of the recoil the issue stop.

I use an AC transf to 24V 5A connected in serial (the out go to one plug and after this plug to the other)

Nothing change if i switch the GUN recoil power between them.

Which button is being clicked? Sounds like a short with your soldering. If you are not sure which button is clicking, then you can open an emulator and try to configure it. It should configure the button without pressing anything.

You can look to see if any wire is touching around that pin or anywhere in the circuit.

Thank you a lot for the answer, i was thinking the same after i discovering that if the recoil power is connected the keys randomly play.

I opened a notepad and the buttons are different, not only the ones that i configured at GUN2.

On these days i will remade the soldering and i will keep you updated.

FIXED WAS THE POWER SUPPLY

If someone have some trouble similar to mine or just is planning to use 2 GUN4IR lightgun go straight with this one (or same specs)
