Custom Arcade Build Monitor
« on: February 14, 2024, 12:34:59 am »
Hey guys, after a 21 year hiatus I building my second custom arcade cabinet but this time with four players. My first was documented on mame-arcade.com way back in the day. With how expensive use cabinets are these days I opted and acquired a lep1 custom cabinet. It is wide for a 32" vesa monitor. What are your recommendations? Clearly fast refresh and large viewing angles are necessary. I don't need speakers. This one I am looking at has speakers but seems to check the boxes but I am not confident: ASUS TUF Gaming 31.5” 1440P HDR Monitor (VG32AQA1A) - QHD (2560 x 1440), 170Hz, 1ms, Extreme Low Motion Blur, FreeSync Premium, DisplayPort, HDMI, HDR-10, Shadow Boost, VESA Wall Mountable,Black. I will be running CoinOps and MAME on a Windows box with an Asus Prime Z-390a, Intel I5 9600k, 16gb DDR4 RAM for this project.
