I did an OutRun thing (MAME vs 7 PC ports)
« on: January 22, 2024, 02:53:26 pm »
I look at OutRun in MAME, then compare it to the (rather basic) DOS/Tandy versions, along with the ports in Shenmue 2 and Yakuza 0/6/7/Judgment. Plus the re-engineered Cannonball project for fun.

It's interesting to see how inaccurate the Shenmue 2 version was, plus how almost all Yakuza ports are missing a fair bit of the screen picture!

If you like that I'm gradually covering the (over 60 I believe) arcade-to-PC Sega ports, the playlist is here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYDobL0b26ug-pOoGrDO7jZSKW9KbLfxZ
