WTB H-Width coil for XM-701
« on: November 15, 2023, 02:11:07 pm »
I need a replacement horizontal width coil for the a Motorola XM-701 Black & White CRT. The one I've got literally has bits of shattered whatever falling out of the inside of the coil. Anybody wanna sell me one or point me to where to get one?

Thanks in advance!!

ROFL! Just read the article on Bob Roberts about width coil adjustment and I'm assuming the previous owner used an allen wrench on it. It's shattered just like the article says will happen. Great. So is it possible to replace just the ferrite core? The coil, itself, is still fine.

IDK about B&W CRT's but those width coils do next to nothing for colour CRT's. Like, literally 1-2mm adjustment at absolute best. So even if you can find one you might not want to hold your breath.
