LED Blinky and Groovymame

Is anyone using Blinky with their Groovymame build?  So far with builds 0.253 and 0.254, I cannot get Blinky's output test to register any output coming from MAME at all.  I've set the OSD Output to Windows in the mame.ini, but it still doesn't appear to be outputting anything.  Has anyone else encountered this...?
