Here is a trick I learned a long time ago from a friend of mine who was an auto mechanic.
My Indy 500 seat 1 stopped shifting gears. Everything seemed good down the line so I though the problem was a connection to the shifter itself.
3 machine screws came out just fine.
One screw is stripped and frozen.
It looks like someone tried to drill the screw at some point and gave up.
This is the quick and dirty method to remove the screw.
Grab a Dremel Tool.
Cut a slot in the screw head. Keep in mind that this will not work for screws that sit flush. You will destroy the panel they are mounted in.
Grab a big ass flat head screwdriver, spray the screw with some penetrating oil. Twist that ---maternal-smurf--- right out.
I realize that this is not some carefully guarded state secret. But there are people of all experience levels here.
Hopefully this will save someone a headache in the future.
