  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
R9 380x graphical glitches playing Groovymame.
« on: March 26, 2022, 06:57:05 am »
I’m back with another question!

I’ve purchased a Radeon R9 380x Sapphire Nitro and installed CRT Emudriver.
(CRT Emudriver & CRT Tools 2.0 beta 15 (Adrenalin 18.5.1 for GCN* cards) for Windows 10 64-bits)
When playing certain games - Super Sprint, Virtua Racing etc I get a horizontal line that looks corrupted near the top of the game (see pic). This can also move down depending on the placement of the game on screen.

I don’t get this on 240p games and checking back on my previous card, a Radeon HD 6450 this line doesn’t appear when playing the same games.

Also, if I uninstall the resolutions via VM Maker the problems goes away but this isn’t viable as it introduces other problems for example shadows look decidedly worse in Virtua Racing.

Have I installed the correct CRT Emudrivers?

I have a few days to sort before the windows closes on taking this card back for a refund. I’m hoping someone here can shed a light on what the solution could be.

Any input is greatly received.

Finally, I watched Calamity being interviewed on YouTube the other day. Really fascinating! Fantastic!!
