RGB bubble top JLF joystick
« on: March 02, 2022, 05:01:31 pm »
I would like to make or buy a JLF RGB clear bubble top joystick. The only options I see at all the regular shops are with the white tops but I hate how they look when not on.

I know where to get a hollow stick in 6mm and 10mm but the for 10mm I only can find white tops and for the 6mm I would need a very small RGB led and that has turned out to be hard to do :banghead:

Im I the only one out here who are interested in this? :dunno

Do I need to get 10mm sticks and have the bubble tops made?

I think I may be able to use hollow ball tops with 6mm sticks :dizzy:

Anyone out there who has ued any of these ideas or how did you get it done?

OK I have ordered some 6mm JLF long hollow sticks from some shop in Europe (only place that has stock)

I also orderd some Kori hollow clear mesh ball tops. My hope is that I can stuff the led in the ball top then thred the wires down the shaft before I screw them together

Am I correct in thinking that I dont need resistors for each color when using an Ultimate Ipac? :dunno It should help with the wiring

I also think that I need common diode RGB led's right :dunno

Now I just need to find a way to get all four wires though the shaft. Anyone know if thats possible? I got to solder leads to the led and heat shrink them. I am hoping that if I stagger the connections they may all fit.

So no one has tried any of this  :dizzy:
