Help with ipac2
« on: February 01, 2022, 11:27:54 am »
Hey arcade builders,

I am a High School teacher and am doing a side project for our school to build an arcade cabinet. I am messing around with a few elements and will probably be back often for help advice. First thing that is giving me trouble is the ipac2 I bought:
Plugged in to a computer first off and the green light turned on. Went to try and put on a button to test it, green light doesn't come on, no input on the computer. Tried every configuration possible of wiring and buttons, no input, no green light. When I take out the wiring, just the board, the green light does not come on any more and on Windows machines it comes up with a USB error. I try to uninstall the USB driver, restart, nothing.

Any idea where to start to troubleshoot this?

Many Thanks,

Mr. Frank

Solved! For anyone with the same problem, I tried a different USB cable from the PC to the I-pac 2 and it now works exactly as expected. Off to wiring I go!

I hate it when good cables go bad. :)  Thanks for sharing your solution.
