GroovyMame always shows up on the wrong monitor
« on: July 26, 2021, 04:02:17 pm »
Hello, I got a laptop and a 15khz monitor hooked up to VGA out (DP1), what's the way to set my VGA out as the default monitor for groovymame? I can make it work only by disabling my laptop screen and leave the VGA out as the only option.

I'm using Linux + switchres via xandr

You can specify the screen either via command line, or in the mame.ini
Example, i have this line in my mame.ini to force output to my second monitor:

screen                    \\.\DISPLAY2

"\\.\DISPLAY#" format doesn't work on GNU/Linux.

On Xorg, use:

screen screen0

or

screen screen1

etc.
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.
