Wells Gardner D9800 getting power but no image from PC.
« on: November 09, 2020, 02:31:19 pm »
Hello,

I have a D9800 I would like to get working.

I power the monitor on without the PC hooked up and I get a "no signal in" displayed on the screen.  Green light on the back of monitor is on, so the monitor is getting power.

When I boot up the PC I can't get an image before windows in BIOS, DOS, or after it enters Windows.  I can see a very dark/wavy/stretched image of my Windows desktop once it enters Windows.  If I hook up a standard PC monitor I can see an image within Windows just fine.

I have tried booting to safe mode, changing refresh rates, drivers, etc.  Nothing will make it display on the WGD9800.  This machine worked fine on this monitor in the past.  I also hooked up a different machine and it has the same issue.

I am thinking it could be the LCD controller board?  How can I test/confirm this?  How can I determine what my issue is and fix it?
