I recently purchased this arcade system at an estate auction. It work (turns on, boots up), but the joystick controls do not work. I opened the controls up and I noticed that one of the wires is burned, coming off the computer (Blue Elf 2008 v 1.0) to the controls.
Should I replace the Blue Elf unit with a more up-to-date system or just replace the wire harness? What is the best solution?

I am not familiar with a Blue Elf, But a burned wire is obviously a bad thing, I would seriously map out those controls just to be sure they are correct, but thinking you got a amperage problem, and personally would replace that with a switcher.
