Rowe R86 Speaker connections
« on: July 26, 2020, 05:19:01 pm »
Hi,

Any help here please, and sorry if this has been covered elsewhere or is really amateur stuff.
Just got an r86. I know over time people change things all the time
On the pre-amp, is there a factory set up for the connectors, or a favoured connector set up anyone can recommend? I fancy a bit more bass.
Also want to connect some external speakers, do I just use the connectors on top of the unit that houses the amp, or connect again to the pre amp connectors on the inside. If it is the top option, how many speakers can I connect to it?
Is there opportunity to either connect the box to another extra amp through an aux type set up? I used to own a wurlitzer that had a specific aux out on it?
Can a remote volume control be added, and where's the best place to buy a manual?

Many Thanks,

Matt

Always Jukin and Victory Glass are excellent sources to purchase quality reproduction manuals:

http://www.alwaysjukin.com/items/Service-Manuals/list.htm

https://victoryglass.com/service-manuals/

Speaker connections (both internal and external) are covered in the manual.

Here is the manual for the remote volume control kits:

There is an "Amplifier Accessory Board" kit which attaches to the amplifier and gives you a ton of RCA jacks for all kinds of inputs and outputs to and from the jukebox amplifier. Here are the instructions:
