Some newbie questions.
« on: May 19, 2020, 11:11:23 pm »
In my arcade collecting endeavor, I always wanted some kind of touchmaster or megatouch. So in a board lot, I wound up getting a crt260 for next to nothing. Also last month I got a working VT1440 for the price of gas. So before I go on a fool's errand, and start making a custom harness, is a old megatouch board salvageable? I know that the monitor is VGA and it won't work on this old board without some converter but is it prohibitively expensive to build a megatouch from scratch? Has it been done before?

Probably not worth it if you're dealing with one of the pre XL boards

Just as I thought, i should look for a cheap used touch game, and reframe the monitor for a future custom Atomiswave/Naomi cabaret since it is VGA. Thanks
