K7191 Moving a ground screw to chassis.

My monitor went out I noticed touching a ground screw turn it back on, so I cut off the ring connector and attached it to the chassis, seems to work, but is this okay, I'll attach a photo.

Edit: Okay put a ring on and put it back, but if it's on the chassis "bar" when no signal powered on I get a plain "blueish" even square, when in original position I get a glitchy square.

It should be both places probably. You’ve got a cable clamp on one of the retaining screws on the chassis that is acting like an insulator. That screw grounds the chassis to the frame. Try removing that clamp and putting the ground wire back on the heat sink where it was. Also make sure you have a ground to your neck board.

There are 3 grounds, I think this one goes to the neck board? I checked with meter and it does seem to be grounded, everything seems fine for now, just over the last week I replaced caps, though b line had a short, now this, each lasted a couple days without going out, guess I'll see in 3 days, could any of this be because my plug ground pin is missing? I just ordered a replacement.
