Newbie HAPP 3" Trackball setup
« on: March 25, 2020, 07:42:37 pm »
I was given a Happ trackball by bobbyb13 (Thank you so much!).  It has a six pin Molex connector and green boards.

If I get an Optiwiz 3 and the GGG no solder cable, is that all I need for my arcade cabinet with MAME to use the trackball?

Yes, but you might want to upgrade to red boards, too.

According to the Happ Trackball FAQ, pinouts are the same for the old green boards (A052-1010-00) as the new red boards. (A052-1011-00)

What are the pinouts of the Optic Sensor pcb A052-1010-00 and A052-1011-00 used on the trackball or trackwheel or 360 steering wheel ?
These alll use the same Item # A052-1011-00 Optic Sensor Board. The connections are as follows.
    Pin 1 - Output A
    Pin 2 - +5V
    Pin 3 - GND
    Pin 4 - Output B
