Tron on DVD
« on: April 08, 2002, 01:46:39 pm »
I know it has been mentioned before, but I just picked up the 20th anniversary edition of Tron on DVD.

This is a great set, 2 disks packed with lots of extras and documentory.

There is a sequal in production for release next year.  It is still in the early stages, so we will have to wait to see if it actually gets made.  There is a teaser site of sorts at http://www.tronkillerapp.com.  It's just a tease and does not reveal anything (PS It does not matter which response you choose). There is a short promo spot for the site on the DVD, so I guess that indicates that it is official.  There is also some concept art for the sequal shown during some of the documentary.

The arcade shots in the beginning of the movies are fun to see, as well as the photos of the cast members playing video games in costume on the set.

Real Life.  Still a poor substitute for video games!
