CRT EmuDriver, difficulty identifying proper installer method
« on: February 04, 2020, 07:35:06 am »
I have acquired a Sapphire Dual-X R9 280 for use with my CRT EmuDriver/GroovyMame project.

according to this thread
http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,160427.msg1688625.html#msg1688625

The R9 280 is equivalent to the HD 7950 Boost Edition

There are two methods provided for CRT EmuDriver installation process.

- Installing CRT Emudriver 2.0 - HD 4350 (for legacy cards) - Windows 7/8/10 - super resolutions
&
- Installing CRT Emudriver 2.0 - HD 5450 (HD 5000+ cards) - Windows 7/8/10 - super resolutions

This is where I'm getting confused.. I thought only legacy cards had DVI-I, mine has one, but its equivalent cards is a HD 7950 which is higher than 5000, no?

I clearly don't understand the nomenclature for the card designations.
Which installer method is the correct one for the R9 280?
Thank you all.

Sure. The "+" in "HD 5000+" intends to mean "or higher". So use the second method (HD 5000+)
