How export from Sketchup into Photoshop (side art)?
« on: December 03, 2019, 05:27:04 pm »
Does anyone know how to get your cabinet design out of Sketchup and into Photoshop while maintaining the proper dimensions/sizes? No matter what I try I just can't get a 1:1 scale out so I can start dropping in my artwork.

Edit: For clarity, I’ve designed the cab in Sletchup and exported as 2D. Whatever setting I choose just exports a smaller version. If I resize it the dimensions are way off. For example, the widths of the lines will be different than what’s in Sketchup. What should be 20inches becomes 19 inches when scaled proportionally. Spent hours trying to figure this out. So frustrating!!

Edit 2: I finally figured it out! I had to export to DXF file at 1:1 then import into Illustrator with a 1 to 1inch scale and that brought it in scaled properly. From there I just exported to a PNG.

Thanks!
