Another update, I think that I have finally hit my skill ceiling. I hoped to make it as perfect as possible. I thought I did pretty good considering the first blurry jpeg that I had to work with. Thankfully RaspBear came to my aid. Thanks much by the way. I will be color matching to the sideart, which I think was done by ZORG. Somebody out there fact check me if you can, I would like to give credit where credit is due. I originally started this because I purchased a 17 inch Quarter Scale Galaga cabinet (I think you guys know what I'm talking about). I was pretty happy with it but I thought that with a lot of effort and elbow grease, I could do better. I will probably eventually get to the Galaga cabinet but I wanted to to Xevious first. Seeing as how the back splash will be on a 17 inch cabinet (which will make the back splash 5.9 inches wide by 3.7 inches tall) no one will be able to see my obvious mistakes. I will eventually go back and correct these mistakes as my illustrator skills increase but for my purposes it will work for now. If anybody out there has pictures or hi-res scans of Lunar Lander art and the Space Invaders Deluxe Kick Plate, I will be attempting those after I finish color matching the Xevious back splash to the side art and cleaning it up a bit more.
My next couple issues don't deal with art. I will be making quarter scale micro switch joystick and push button replicas as well as trying to tackle the Lunar Lander thruster control panel at 1/4 scale. Probably use a potentiometer hack of some sort. Anyway keep watching here for artwork updates and look in the Project announcements for the 1/4 scale machine updates. I'll probably start Xevious in the next couple of weeks.
