Depends what you want.

Most of the Pandoras are cloned fakes, The latest genuine one is the 1300 in 1 pink Pandoras Box 6.

I just used one in a dino king it runs fine.

Its chamma not Jamma though.
Basicly the same except 2 ground wires are re purposes as Button 6 for p1&2

Also, how do they run compared to a raspberry pi? I've got 2 of those laying around, been too lazy to hook it up and install everything.I'm wondering about MK 1,2,3 etc Type games playability on both. Read about clones sneaking in PS1 MK Games as arcades.

Not played the MK series on it so dont know sorry!
I can confirm that MK4 is a PSX port and so is Tekken 1-3 though.

But it plays Street Fighters etc fine no issues that I have seen.

Compared to a Pi? well much of a muchness really. Certainly less set up time lol

According to the pandoras box 6 readme;

Switch display resolution:
In order to meet the needs of more players, this product exclusively supports 3 display resolutions: 1280x720, 1024x768, 640x480,384x224(CRT 15KHz). The default output is 1280x720.

It does not indicate auto switching to proper game resolutions.

A pi would be better than parandora box - with an option that has some sort of setup similar to switchres. Like retrotink. Or rgb-pi. Oomek tried the latter and said it has lots of lag. I think a pi is great for fun, but wouldn't put one in my arcade cabinet.

Setting a single/common resolution is a thing, switching res on a per-game basis is another story

Many games have different resolutions. Having a fixed resolution means that games will be scaled, likely unevenly. Having a fixed vertical refresh rate leads to some games having scrolling issues. Im not a professional, but im sure these things can better be explained by others in the groovymame section.
