Dynamo Adventure Time Conversion
« on: May 29, 2019, 01:23:06 am »
As most know, these generic cabs usually had several games in them over their lifespan. I'm going to pay homage to one of my favorite shows with this one. Here's a sneak peek. More to come.

Made some progress today.  Knocked out the marquee area with new speakers, LED's, and marquee.  I'm going to reprint to better center the text from top to bottom.

Very nice, where did you find the cab?

Very nice, where did you find the cab?

I paid $25 for it, and I rescued it from a shed by a trailer in central Louisiana. It had some water damage to it, and I grafted in new wood. I'm not super pleased with how the old meets the new. The old had a layer of laminate on it. I'm still figuring out what I'm going to do there.

That’s pretty sweet, you may have to make a clean cut and relaminate an entire section. Although with the age of the laminate it may be hard to match? Epic score nonetheless

Nice deal!

Made some progress today.  Knocked out the marquee area with new speakers, LED's, and marquee.  I'm going to reprint to better center the text from top to bottom.

I recommend shrinking the logo down a bit too. Allow for some empty space around it.

I'm going to tweak the marquee more and finish putting in the coin door parts, but this build is pretty much done.
