Fan Game... TMNT Rescue Palooza

The author decided to remake most of your favorite tmnt levels in the style of tmnt III on the nes (for some odd reason... why not turtles in time?)  Anyway, it's very polished for a BOR game and you can play as every boss you fight and/or person you rescue.  That being said many of the boss characters barely have a move set, so maybe stick to the good guys.  It's worth a look at least... have fun before it's took down.

You beat me to posting this. Kotaku gave it the kiss of death, grab it now. I've been enjoying it on my CRT. It's definitely Manhattan Project inspired and it's the only BOR game  I've played in years that doesn't suck.

Just beat it.  Ending is nuts.  I kept dying when I tried out new characters, forcing me to start over, so I just dug around in the save file.  You can find the number of lives in there pretty easy... just bump it up to a respectable level for if it were an arcade game and enjoy.

Yeah I came across this the other day.
Not had a chance to play it yet but I heard good things.

Would be nice to see it ported to DC like most other BOR games for easy 4 player :)

Haha..  Yeah, I took the robot turtle thing that only has one attack and ended up having to fight the Tempest arcade machine boss.  Kind of hard to hit an airborne enemy when you only have a ground slash attack.

Almost all those lives I racked up flew away.  It auto saves after you've beaten a level, so I think you're better off just letting it wipe you out mid-level if you picked a dud character and loading your save.

I actually laughed out loud when you had to fight skateboard girl.  I'll do your save file edit trick and beat the rest of it tonight.

Actually you don't have to fight her.  She'll just skate on by if you don't attack.

For the normal stages, the best character is the dragon you get in the dojo... his hits do double damage and he has a decent range... slow as dirt though so you can't use him on the platforming levels or any levels that require a lot of hazard dodging.  Casey Jones is also particularly good because he has crazy long range even with his normal attack yet he's still fast.  He's probably the most OP character in the game.

Who the hell doesn't attack her?  This has never happened once in the history of TMNT gameplay.

Alright, so imagine you're dealing with someone that hasn't opened a hexadecimal editor since he was cheating on Street Rod 2 in 1991.

How does he get more lives in his TMNT save game?

EDIT: Looks like it's at 00000030 0C ?

Downloading it now.  My 5yo is obsessed with TMNT right now.  Stupid question, does this run on an emulator or is it a "PC" game?

It's a self contained distribution with Beats of Rage.

And this guy burned a vacation day to beat it.  :lol

Ah you ruined it for everybody.

You know I wonder how hard it is to make a BOR game.  I'd like to do the opposite of this one.... remake all those levels/characters in the style of Turtles in Time.
