Buttons Work in everything but MameWah. Cant get Joy1button8 to take am I setting something up Wrong.

Reading the documentation listed in ctrl.txt

'Joystick Inputs (?=device no.):
JOY?_LEFT
JOY?_RIGHT
JOY?_UP
JOY?_DOWN
JOY?_IN
JOY?_OUT
JOY?_ROTATELEFT
JOY?_ROTATERIGHT
JOY?_ROTATEUP
JOY?_ROTATEDOWN
JOY?_ROTATEIN
JOY?_ROTATEOUT
JOY?_SLIDER0INC
JOY?_SLIDER0DEC
JOY?_SLIDER1INC
JOY?_SLIDER1DEC
JOY?_POV0-3_LEFT
JOY?_POV0-3_RIGHT
JOY?_POV0-3_UP
JOY?_POV0-3_DOWN
JOY?_BUTTON0-31

However when I try adding this
LAUNCH_GAME         "DIK_1 JOY1_BUTTON8"

to mamewah.cfg I get no results.
What am I missing the joystick works just not buttons. Do I have to enable buttons
somewhere else?

Maybe you are setting the wrong file.
be sure of the following route "Mamewah \ config \ mamewah.cfg"

example to launch the selected game with button 8 and key 1

Code: [Select]
### INPUT MAPPINGS ###

# main form
UP_1_GAME "DIK_UP JOY1_UP MOUSE_UP"
DOWN_1_GAME "DIK_DOWN JOY1_DOWN MOUSE_DOWN"
LAUNCH_GAME "DIK_1 JOY1_button8"
### SETTINGS ###

# 0 or 1 (off / on)
keyboard 1
mouse 1
joystick 1

This is the file I am setting. I have been trying to setup button 8 and button 9 to replace key press
1 and 2. I have discovered that button 9 works instead of buttons 8 all other buttons including 8 do not.
My joystick and buttons work in everything except mamewah.

Anyone out there have any other ideas? I am going mad over here trying to figure
this one out

I was really hoping I could continue to use Mamewah...
If I can't figure this out its back to the quest of finding a new go to frontend.

I have finally figured this out Mamewah sees the buttons wrong
 8 is 7, 9 is 8 .
At least I know now....
I can live with the limitation. ;)

come on guys! it's not a problem of S.O. 10,8,7 ... it's just a configuration, (personally I with joytokey, I have everything configured to my liking in w10)

Would you then be willing to help with other issues if I PM you?
