The idea is you can use your portable handheld as the proper controller when playing portable games either emulated on the big screen or through your super Gameboy or gba player.  For what it's doing the prices are pretty reasonable as well.  I might break down and finally get a gba player.... the main thing holding me back was having to use that awful gamecube controller.

I've almost bought the super game boy several times, but it just seems like I wouldn't want to play game boy games on my TV all that often. I use a Wii to play Gamecube, so I don't expect that I'll be getting a GBA player anytime soon. These devices look pretty cool, though, and it could be fun to play virtual console games with my GBA micro.
