EXPANSE - A wall mount space themed cabinet (5-12, Cabinet Complete)
<< < (2/35) > >>
Mike A:
It makes sense if you are going to store your bar stools under there. Otherwise you could anchor a skinny cab to the wall for more stability.

You have a clear idea of what you want to do. Good luck with your build.

Interesting design.   ;D

One possible issue is the distance between the trackball and monitor bezel.

You might want to make a cardboard mockup to see if there is enough clearance to avoid jamming your fingers.

I can tell you dont live in Chicago - hah. It's worth it to design for bar stool storage.

Absolutely - good call mocking it up. Though the way I play goldentee is using two thumbs instead of whacking it like a maniac.

I'm going to have a piece of tempered glass over the monitor portion, then under the monitor will be an equal thickness speaker grill.
Mike A:
I would suggest keeping beverages off of the control surface. Beer has an amazing ability to spill spectacularly. A small end table works well. Your beverages are out of the way, but still close by.

First round of tools arrived. This project gave me a great excuse to get these. Been wanting a router and saw for awhile now.
