Jamma power wiring HELP PLEASE
« on: August 26, 2018, 03:09:27 pm »
hi
1st off im a total noob so please don't laugh and can u put things in real lame-man terms please!!
Ok so im building a 60 in 1 cocktail cabinet using a Jamma vertical board and a Wei-ya power supply,
ive used a female iec lead into the power supply and piggy-backed from that direct to the lcd monitor using a male iec lead,
ive ran the power in through switch and an in-line fuse holder with a 3.15amp quick blow fuse,
Ive come to power up today and im getting nothing at all (dunno if the power supply makes a noise when fired up but I got nothing and no LED on the pub board)
Im not sure if its wired wrong or not and im not very good with the electrics as this is my first project,
Can anyone direct me in any way/shape or form please?

Can you provide some pics of how you have it set up? That would help us troubleshoot with you.

First... Do you own a multi-meter?

...but I suspect your switch is wired incorrectly.

With the switch disconnected from any wiring, perform a continuity test. This will tell you which switch terminals have continuity in which switch position.

Ok cool I will try that thanx!! Is the rest of the wiring correct?? If I know it’s down to either the fuse or the switch that eliminates a lot of work
