Great looking cab. I see you used a seven button layout for p1/p2 that looks pretty much identical to the one I chose. It's a shame they don't have a seven coin layout similar to yours (and mine) on slagcoin so we could print it out rather than having to measure and 'add' that seventh button each time. It's a great cross between Japanese and NEO-GEO layouts!
My original idea was 7 but then I found that I ran out of controller connectors, so I leave it as a future upgrade.
Quick question: Where did you source the plastic ring inserts for your joysticks? I cut 1 1/8" holes for the joysticks but I wasn't sure how to finish the inside surface of the MDF. It's fine with buttons because they cover the imperfections but with clear joystick dust covers the inside of the ring looks awful. I need something to make the joystick holes look finished and I was considering using opaque dust covers as a last resort. That or paint them black and hope the sticks don't make contact and rub off the paint.
I got an acrylic rod when I purchased a led light strip for my pc, that, lucky me, fit perfectly, so I cut it and sanded to the final look.
Same issue here, the joysticks holes looks better with acrylic, also allow more light to came out, you will need something like that, on ebay you can find some cylinders like that, try there.

I'm at the step where I'm finalizing design of my cab so looking at your steps and decisions was a huge help - much appreciated!
Design is the most important step, take your time, and good luck!!. ask whatever you need.
