FS : 14" Mitsubishi Diamond Scan Monitor :: CGA Compatible ::
« on: February 03, 2004, 09:56:18 pm »
My boss suggested I clear out some unused stock from storage, so I grabbed one and decided someone could use the other.

This is a 14" DiamondScan capable of doing a CGA resolution, which would be perfect for those of you working on a small project cabaret or bartop mame.

I've included 2 links which can describe the monitor more precisely than I can. I know it involves making a 15pin to 9pin cable for the CGA, but the second link describes the pinouts. All of which should look quite nice on an AVGA card.

I wasn't quite sure of the price, but after looking on the web for some info, I've seen them refurbished for no less than 400.00.

I'll get rid of it for 250.00 ( SHIPPED ) ... US only please. She weighs in at 31.0lbs and that's not including the shipping materials. I'll still see to it she's snug when packed thus ensuring a smooth / worry free delivery.

After doing a little homework, I've determined that's a pretty fair asking price. I'm always open to reasonable offers though. So please, don't hesitate to suggest one.

The smudge mark on top was only from a catalog taped to the unit. I didn't want to use any chemicals for cleaning that might damage the plastic ... otherwise it's in perfect shape.

Thank you for looking !

Good luck man, you can buy a brand new CGA monitor for that price. I had that same monitor, I got it for free, it does the CGA resolutions, but it overlaps the edges of the picture.

I've had pretty good luck with the CGA on the unit I kept. I've been using it as pretty much a toy while I'm setting up some projects.

I know the date goes back to 89 for production, but they're both in excellent shape. That's why I stressed any reasonable offer. I only based my price from a few places on the web that carried that monitor. I didn't even know what they were worth.

No biggie though. Thanks for the advice anyway.  ;)

Ok, well the one I had never did quite do it right. Probably different revision or something? Oh well, good luck.
