Micro center in Dallas has the Pi Zero W for 5$.
It's one of the slickest little gizmo's I've ever picked up. Flash a Micro flash card with a PI version of Debian, configure it completely on a PC. Then stick in in the pi and when the Pi boots up, you can just ssh into it from the PC. You never have to actually hook it up to a monitor, keyboard, mouse, anything.
And it runs off 5v from a MicroUSB port, so it can actually run straight off a usb port on you pc for setting it up.
It's reasonably fast, has HDMI out, a camera port, 2 usb ports, GPIO, WIFI (with a builtin, decent antenna) and Bluetooth
For 5$ (plus another 5 for a little case if you need one)
And it's TINY
