Vertical Cocktail Cabinet - 100% COMPLETE

---

I've got time off over Christmas and I'm using it to finally finish my vertical cocktail cabinet.  Based somewhat off Kyle Lindstrom's plans, with a couple modifications and a 19" TV.

The easiest way to follow along with the progress is to click here, as my recent work is fully documented with pictures.

Feel free to comment!  I'll keep bumping this when I post more to my LJ.

Click the link above for today's update: putting the TV in its place.

J a quick FYI, most people generally (including me) are too lazy to follow a blog when the whole point of BYOACs PA thread is to blog your progress, especially when the blog is hard to follow/navigate.

All right, I'll probably just keep doing this until the whole thing is done and then put the highlights in this thread  :)

That's fair enough if you want to do that. The main point of posting in this sub-forum (generally) is to get the help and advice from people who can aid you (if you need it).

I imagine (from what I have seen) that you will get replies to your blog but not generally replies that will help you.

If that's the case and you need no help (wish I was that lucky :)). great. I look forward to seeing the result.

Good luck with it

OK you guys win, here are some pictures:

Here it is running Galaga:

and here is the cracked PCB of my keyboard hack caused by dropping a hammer in the machine

Now I will go drown my sorrows in Christmas alcohol while I lament the time I will lose trying to repair this thing without being able to actually remove the CPs.  I guess that's not so bad

So I finally got back to this project.  Spent 30 minutes fixing up the keyboard hack (it took three little jumper wires to bypass the cracked traces), and then 2 hours playing instead of doing actual work on it : )

By the way.  I did eventually finish this.

The complete write-up is here:

And the "overview" video is here:

The information is slightly outdated.  The 1/8" glass shattered and I replaced it with plexi.
