What the heck? 32 ohm speakers
« on: January 31, 2004, 08:03:56 pm »
My boyfriend installed a 25" monitor in a cabinet for me and the tv had the following speakers.

32 ohm JA
2W 62
I assume this means 32 ohms and 2 watts.
What the heck?
Has anyone seen 32 ohm speakers?
I have the amp from my tv hooked to my arcade speakers.
The arcade speakers sound great hooked to my tv amp.

Yes, I've seen 32 ohm speakers before. They are common in consumer grade television sets and intercom systems.

Some old Altec Lansing "Voice of the Theater" speaker systems used in old movie theater used 32 ohm speakers.
