Arcades in Myanmar are a little different.
« on: August 16, 2017, 12:18:51 am »
So I'm in Myanmar (Bruma) for the next two mounts. Was at a mall and saw an arcade and decided to take a look.

First off the small arcade had a lot of staff, this being Myanmar thats not to surprising as teen age labor is very cheep. I have a friend here who has a large NGO trying to address getting them skills working children the skills they need to find better jobes.

A young woman dress in a traditional outfit with accompanying hair and makeup opened the door and welcomed us in. Most of the games were Xbox connect like dancing games and the people there were really good at them. Some of the games were for small children. Didn't see any fighters or a lot of the other arcade games I'v seen around South east Asia.

It took a lot of the novelty out of it that there were more kids working there then playing there.

You'll most likely remember it as the arcade in Myanmar, but it will always be the arcade in Burma to me.
