So i cant space down the joy, but i can shorten the shaft... heres how i did that... Now im 20 year factory technician for the HD motor company, which gives me access to lots of neat stuff at the shop.. but believe me, a savy person could do the same, using lesser tools if there careful about it.. I am willing to help out others thou if you read this and its an answer you were looking for.. So here again is a comparison photo I need to make my dominux 8 the same hight and this is how i did it.. first i took off the ball tops Then i took some measurements |

The difference in hight was a little over 1/2 and inch at .580 i think Ya .580 so thats how much i need to take off the shaft at the dominux8 |

So i chucked up the shaft in the lathe and used a end mill blade, ran it down, periodically checking how much i took off till i was close Now very very important!! You must be listening to Creedence Clearwater revival at full volume when using a lathe |
