Heads up for Xbox one owners... some free AAA games this month.

If you have xbox live then you'll be getting Ryse, Evolve and Darksiders for free this month.  If you don't have xbox live then look around for a 30 day trial.  Yes, you can still get the games via the 30 day trial.  These are essentially launch titles, but they are good launch titles, so well worth the effort.

you no longer have access to the free games once your gold subscription expires. Only 360 owners get to keep their free games

Sure sure, but these games shouldn't take more than a month to complete and they are linked to your account forever....  If you ever want to revisit them just use yet another free 30 days coupon or one of those 1 dollar for gold promotions they are constantly ramming down your throat.
