THe minimus AVR that is used in the Kade is gettting pretty tough to find as most have moved on to newer boards. There is a forum thread discussing the sources but as you mention none of them currently have stock - but there is one member in the thread that knows the makers of the minimus boards that does still have some and might be sourcing more if there is enough interest (or they are also discussing perhaps updating the kade source so it is compatible with one of the newer more readily available boards)

You might try PMing him to see if he still has any available for sale here is a link to the thread ( http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,141672.msg1466083.html#msg1466083 )

Describing the project as dead is a bit of an overstatement, but the team has been mostly unresponsive for quite a while now.

As I mentioned in The Official "I'm not a Spambot" Thread, there is another option if you can't get a reply from KADE team members Kevin (sharpfork), Bruno (bootsector), and Jon (degenatrons).
Quote
If you want to "roll your own" without the red breakout board, you can buy a Minimus from MaxRod (check out his post here) and connect your controls by soldering wires or 2.54mm screw terminals (like microArcade) or 0.1" "dupont" pin headers to the AVR.

Thanks to StefanBurger's Illuminated Arcade Spinner project that linked to the ArduinoBuilder utility, I have started to look into the possibility of using commonly-available Arduino AVR boards with (default/recompiled/modified?) KADE firmware hex files.

Does someone still have the official software? The official site is blocked by my browser because of malware crap etc.

Still have 2 kade controllers.

Big e-mail with KADE Loader Software headed your way. (23MB)   ;D

Good news: ArduinoBuilder loaded the KADESTICK firmware onto an Arduino Pro Micro and the available inputs worked.

Bad news: 6 of the KADESTICK inputs are not connected to pins on the Pro Micro board -- including the X- and Y-axis inputs.   :banghead:

More good news: According to the pinout on the Arduino Micro, everything should work as-is with that board except "Hat Down".

Good idea, but Saint hasn't fixed the File Repository yet.  :(

Besides, the KADE site is up and running again even though some peoople are getting false warnings.

Direct link to their download for the kade loader setup software ( or is it Google that is giving you the warnings ?)--- https://sites.google.com/site/kadevice/loader/setup.zip?attredirects=0

Is the kade loader soft ware open sores? It would be great if some one wanted to add compatibility to the Arduino Pro Micro and shared it. That's the point of open sources.

If not, turning the Arduino Pro Micro into a keyboard encoder seem a simple task even with out the kade software.

Are you really the only guy working on updating the Kade software. Thanks for that

And I looked at the github page and read for for over an hour on how micro processors programers. My official take away is I would have to do a lot more research before I could even begin to understand what needs to be done. If you have a page booked marked that would be a good place to start learning I would definitely take a long hard look.

kade its self is hard to get for alot of reasons
none the less is the new atmel chip
hence all the talk on the replacement 32u4
and the fact ppl want to use it with the normal kade loader
now pl1 can stomp on me for that but i am clear that is the issuie.
where today when i ran the arduino specs and loader the ide will dump right into a atmel ide
so in essence making the loader the same ?
i am yet to get a grip on "FLIP",but i will

We were working on how to use KADE firmwares with AVR boards other than the Minimus.

I've split those posts into a new thread here.

So if I stick them on eBay, how much should I sell them for?  $100 each?  :woot

I finally heard from Kevin several hours ago.   ;D

He has been working hard at his day job and during his off-hours is fabricating cables/shipping rewards for the miniConsole+ Kickstarter -- not much time to spend on the forums.

He posted a new KS update here several hours ago. (for backers only)

Bruno has been doing great work on the XBOXPadMicro, but isn't able to help with KADE store issues.

Jon appears to be Missing In Action -- nobody has heard from him in quite a while.

Bottom line: Kevin has been really busy, but he is aware of your situation and should be in contact with you very soon.
